SKA ALL OVER THE WORLD

A great deal has been written on British and particularly Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae in the 1960's. In books, magazines and on the internet. But very little is known about this music in other countries in that decade. That situation is about to change. On this site you will find information on ska, rocksteady and reggae in countries where you would not have expected it, on records that were released there, on the artists involved and even on the influence of the music of those countries on ska (about 1960-1966), rocksteady (1966-1968) and early reggae (1968-1971). Jamaica and Great Britain will largely be left unmentioned this time.
